The Winter With no Snow

It appears as though 2007 will be the winter with no snow. It has been many years since that has happened. I think my daughter was about six or seven. She got roller skates for Christmas and everyone else got ice skates. She didn't even have to wait until spring to use them it was 60 degrees on Christmas day. It's been in the 40s and 50s for over a month. Sometimes the breeze makes it feel colder.
I am finding it hard to believe the school year is half over. I must be getting older as the years seem to be going by quickly. I used to think they lasted forever. Not so anymore.
Megan begins her big gymnastics season next week-end. She competes in her home gym a the TwistarWars invitational. Then she is on to Dallas, Texas for a competition. There she will meet her older half brother and go to a rodeo. She has a meet the first week-end in Feb and then she is off to Chicago and Navy Pier for a meet. Her week-ends are pretty tied up until May.
For Jason it just means more vacations. He's starting to like staying in hotels. He likes the pools and play areas when there is time to use them. He just does recreational gymnastics at this point.
I am working on book number five. Again I have chosen a mystery. It has a couple of things going on and the characters have once again taken over so I'm not sure where it is going or what the motivation is. I'm guessing it will be a surprise to all of us.
Here's hoping 2007 is a great year for you.
