Back in School
Well, I have been back in school now since Aug. 29. (That does not count the week of training before hand). The kids started Sept. 5th. I have a nice bunch of kids this year. Things should go well. I am running between two buildings...hopefully I will lose some weight.
I think winter has set in early this year. It is rainy and cold today. Had to heat my bed last night...yikes it is only the second week in Sept. I am NOT, I repeat NOT ready for winter.
Most of the edits are done on my new book. I am still awaiting the review which will grace the back cover. I am anxious to get it uploaded and on it's way to being a book. I am hoping that it will take off as well as 'Secrets' has. I'd like to be getting a few more royalties.
Bought Mega-Millions Lottery tickets last week-end. Did not really think I'd win, but felt is was worth trying. Didn't hear that there were any winners. Will have to check this week and see how high it gets. Might have to force myself to play again.
Nothing major happening in my life. Trying to get the house cleaned so I can invite people over. I'm hoping to hostess a scrapbooking party. Jamie has become a consultant. I love doing it, I just don't seem to find the time. So, I am going to take a sojourn from on-line games and do some scrapbooking. Sound like fun? Feel free to join me.
Believe it or not scrapbooking is a good way to start writing. Look at the photos you are working with, don't they inspire memories? Isn't there something you want to write about them? Use them as inspiration. Start with a journal. Keep track of those memories. Can you capture them with words? Give it a try you will be surprised.
Speaking of memories, my parents and I were reminiscing about when my granddaughter, Megan, was little. She was staying with my sister, Diane, and something happened that made her mad. She said, "Don't make me English!" My sister not understanding said something to the effect that she spoke English or she was English...as that is where my family is from. A bit later, someone was teasing Megan or something and she repeated herself saying, "Stop that! Don't make me English with you." It was a small thing and I'm sure if you asked Megan today if she was English she'd look at you as if you were nuts. Maybe one of these times I will ask her.
Happy writing.
